What drag experiences does a Drag Trip include?
A Drag Trip includes:
The Workroom Workshop goes behind the pink walls for an experiential workshop focused on the art of drag. During the workshop designers from Drag Race share the creative process behind some of the most iconic looks from the show along with a drag me session with local queens who give a drag inspired makeup tutorial. Guests participate in a mini-challenge in partnership with ONE/SIZE presented by Patrick Star.
The Drag Dinner includes a multi-course meal, inspired cocktails, performances from queens along with a DJ who keeps the party going!
After the dinner guests, often in partnership with Gay Hopping, head to drag shows in the gayborhood.
The Workroom Workshop and Drag Dinner is only offered during Drag Trips (except Japan and Panama) and not Drag Weekends.
Which queen(s) from Drag Race will be attending the Drag Dinner during my trip?
We will be announcing the queen(s) from the Drag Race franchise who will be attending the Drag Dinner no less than 30 days before the start of the trip. The queens from Drag Race will only be attending the Drag Dinner.
Please note that we reserve the right to change a queen due to a scheduling and/or filming conflict.
Are queens from the United States franchise involved in Drag Trips?
For some trip, such as Puerto Rico or Hawaii, queen(s) from the United States franchise of RuPaul’s Drag Race will attend the Drag Dinner.
In other cases, queens from the United States franchise of RuPaul’s Drag Race will join a trip as a fellow guest, content creator and may even perform. While this is not guaranteed don’t be surprised if it happens.

Do I have to be LGBTQ+ to attend a Drag Trip?
No, all are welcomed, but we expect those who are not a member of the LGBTQ+ to be an ally.
When are payments due?
To reserve your spot a deposit is due. Once your deposit is paid you can choose to pay in full or set up a payment plan which offers four months of payments with the last to be made no less than 30 days before the trip departure date.
Do I book my own airfare?
Yes. Once you have booked your international and domestic airfare for the Drag Trip, please email a copy to our team.
Do I book my own accommodations?
No, we will book 4-star or higher accommodations for your Drag Trip. If you are booking your Drag Trip as a double occupancy, please include the name of the other guest when booking your Drag Trip so we can include you both in the hotel reservation.
For Drag Weekends you can add accommodations to the booking for an additional cost. Please note that the transportation during the Drag Weekend is to/from the host hotel.
Do I need a visa or passport?
Yes, you will need both a passport and a visa to attend if you live outside of the country of the Drag Trip or Drag Weekend.
Please note that your passport must be valid for at least six months beyond your departure date. We’ll be collecting your passport information and can give a helping hand with the visa, if needed.
Should I purchase insurance?
We provide you the details for our insurance travel provider. We require all of our guests to purchase the insurance in order to attend a Drag Trip.
The insurance covers everything from hospital visits to emergency evacuation.
Do I need to have vaccinations?
Vaccinations aren’t legally required, but we recommend being up to date.
Will my debit and credit cards work?
Yes, your credit card will work abroad, but we recommend notifying your bank before you travel and asking about any fees for international use.
How do I get local currency?
ATM’s are everywhere which distribute cash in local currency.
What about the language barrier?
All of our hosts and vendors speak English but we always encourage our guests to take time to learn important phrases in the local language.
How do I navigate cultural differences?
We introduce guests to local culture and customs while asking for guests to respect the spaces, places and communities we visit.
Can I use my phone to contact those back home?
Yes, your phone should work, but we recommend contacting your carrier at least 48 hours before departure to confirm and ask about their international phone, text, and data plans. If needed, your host can suggest a place to purchase an eSIM card along with apps that will help you stay in touch with home and navigate when you’re on your own.
Also, keep in mind almost all vendors we work with offer guests wifi access.
How many people attend?
During a Drag Trip we travel with no less than 10 guestes and up to 20 guests.
For Drag Weekends we travel with no less than 10 guests and up to 40 guests.
Am I required to attend everything on the itinerary during the trip?
While we encourage you to attend all of the activities, it’s not required. If you plan to skip an activity, please let a team member know at least 24 hours in advance, when possible, so we can adjust as needed.
You can also join optional cultural and entertainment experiences, which can be enjoyed alone or with other guests outside of the planned itinerary.
How are the hosts chosen?
Our hosts, from the LGBTQ+ community, are experienced and trustworthy members of the community who share their valuable insights with guests.

Is transportation covered?
We provide group transportation for all activities listed in the itinerary. For anything outside the itinerary, you are responsible for your transportation, but we can suggest the best ways to get around.
Are drinks and meals covered?
Yes, the meals listed in the itinerary are included. For meals in public spaces, such as a street market, we provide local currency based on a preset budget. At restaurants, you’ll have a pre-set menu to choose from or be given a pre-set budget.
If you order any food or drinks, including alcohol, outside of the pre-set budget or menu, you’ll need to cover those costs. You’re also responsible for any food or drinks consumed outside the itinerary, such as during optional activities.
What if I have dietary restrictions?
We’ll ask about your dietary restrictions and allergies to ensure they’re considered when planning menus and choosing dining locations. Since you’ll be ordering your own food, please remember to keep your dietary needs in mind and carry any necessary allergy medications
Should I be worried about getting sick?
As with any international travel, it’s important to be mindful of what you eat and drink. We recommend always drinking bottled water and following our tips on safely enjoying food in public places, like street markets.
What if I get sick or injured during the trip?
We’ve partnered with top-rated international hospitals with bilingual staff. If you need a doctor’s appointment or face a medical emergency, including evacuation, your insurance has you covered, ensuring you’re well taken care of.
How do I stay safe?
The Drag Trips have been vetted for they safety of guests.
We ask guests to be mindful, demur and use common sense which includes keeping small amounts of cash, traveling in pairs and being aware of your surroundings.
How does Drag Trips make a difference in the community?
Drag Trips is committed to making a difference by making a donation for every guest to local Special Olympics and nonprofit(s) doing meaningful work wih the LGBTQ+ community.
What if I want to do more than one trip?
We offer discounts for returning guests. When booking your next Drag trip, weekend, camp or voyage ask a member of the team about the discount.
Do you have a referral program?
Not yet, but we’re working on it. If you refer a guest who books a trip you’ll receive a discount on a future trip along with some exciting perks!
Can I bring minor children on a trip?
At this time all guests must be over the age of 18 and for some Drag Trips or Weekend the guest must be over 21.
Can I be removed from a trip?
We ask each guest to sign a code of conduct that outlines expectations for behavior with the host, fellow guests, locals, partners and vendors. If you break this code we reserve the right to remove you.
Please note, if you are removed for violating the code of conduct you will not receive a refund and any payments made to vendors such as accommodations will be subject to their cancellation policies.
Do you work with content creators?
We love collaborating with creators who are considered for paid campaigns and/or invited as a VIP guest on a future Drag Trip to create and share content!

Can I share content from my experience?
During the trip a member of our team will capture content.
