Is my trip free?
Yes! In fact you’ll be paid a portion of the trip revenue for co-hosting. Everything included on the itinerary for guests (accommodations, meals, activities) is also included for you at no cost.
How much do Drag Trips co-hosts make?
You’ll be paid a portion of the trip revenue for co-hosting along with a bonus for every guest after the tenth guest. Everything included on the itinerary for guests (accommodations, meals, activities) is also included for you at no cost.
Keep in mind you can co-host with another queen from Drag Race or a qualified content creator who meets our requirements.
What about my airfare?
While co-hosts are responsible for booking their own airfare, we do include a stipend for airfare that is not included in the co-host payment. The airfare stipend will be paid as soon as your trip reaches confirmed aka ten guests book the trip and make their final payment.
How far in advance are Drag Trips planned?
In general, it’s important to allow your audience enough time to make a purchasing decision which is why we plan an average of eight months for international and six months for domestic trips.
Do I need to be in drag during the trip?
As a co-host your primary role is to build meaningful relationships with guests and experience the trip with them out of drag. The only commitment of being in drag is during the Drag Me to Dinner, in partnership with Drag in Demand, which includes a multi-course culinary experience, curated cocktails as well as performances from queens including the co-host.
We may identify and present additional opportunities for you to perform at events during the trip that guests attend. The additional performances will be presented with the event deliverables along with the payment terms. It is up to the co-host if they would like to accept the offer.
Do you have a referral program?
Refer another queen from Drag Race to co-host a trip and we’ll kick back $100 when they qualify as a co-host and $500 once their trip gets confirmed!
To be eligible for the referral cash, the referred co-host must not be in the process of working with us (meaning they have not started surveying or planning their trip with us)
Who is in charge of the trip logistics?
Drag Trips handles all logistics leading up to the trip. This includes pre-trip payments, itinerary planning, connecting you to your fellow guests and collecting all important information.
Once you are on the trip the logistics are handled by the host(s) — our local experts who handle all logistics on the ground. Hosts, guides and operators are the authority during the trip and can assist with any issues guests have during the trip.
As a co-host you are a member of the team and may be asked to attend team meetings, debriefings and are considered an important part of ensuring guests have a great time during the trip.
Why do I need to survey my audience?
If you’ve never hosted group trips before, you’ll want to survey your audience to get started.
This gives you a chance to let your community know you’re thinking about a Drag Trip, and allows you to collect valuable insights from your followers! Surveys tell you where your audience wants to travel, when the best time to travel is, and what they’re comfortable spending. Knowing that allows you to plan a perfect Drag Trip for your people.
We require co-hosts to collect 100 qualified survey responses and recommend you aim to get them all in the first week! This keeps your audience engaged and excited.
Qualified survey responses are from adults 18+ with a budget of $2,000.
Why do I need 100+ survey responses?
Our past experience has shown that co-hosts who get 100+ responses are 83% more likely to confirm their trip than co-hosts who get 99 or fewer. The more responses you’re able to get, the higher likelihood you have of confirming your trip even faster and selling out all the available spots!
